Introduction:

The PL/PLE Macro Illuminator from Jobin Yvon is a unique accessory for Photoluminescence / Photoluminescence Excitation spectroscopy applications. It is designed to continuously cover the spectral range from 400 to 2000nm in a single compact head and is fully compatible with a wide range of XY stages as well as both Nitrogen and Helium cryostats. The design permits direct observation of the sample as well as co-linear introduction of the excitation light from with either a laser or broadband source. Optical fibre interconnection to a wide range of detection systems is possible and provides a very flexible solution to many semiconductor and other materials analysis problems.
