FORENSIC LIGHT SOURCE (FLS)
Typical applications of
our Forensic Lights:
Fluorescence (Ultraviolet,
all Visible wavelengths, Infrared),
Reflectance, Absorption
used for: Latent fingerprint identification, Crime Scene Search and
evidence collection, Forensic photography and imaging,
forged/questioned documents, counterfeit, biology & serology
(detection of semen, blood (in natural absorption mode at 415nm or in
fluorescence mode after treatment with the Fluorescein spray),
saliva, vaginal fluids, sweat, faeces...), footprint, gun shot
residues, bruises, bite marks, fibres and hair, bone fragments.
FLS Selection:
Our Forensic light
sources, CrimeScope, Mini-CrimeScope and HandScope are manufactured
in Edison, NJ, USA by JY Inc. SPEX Forensics Division. They are the
ultimate units in their categories featuring the most wavelengths and
highest intensity (best sensitivity in searching mode). Over the past
4 years SPEX Forensics has become the worldwide leader in FLS with
the purchase of: 50 units by the National Japanese police, 75 units
by the FBI and more recently 25 units by the French Gendarmerie.
There are more than 750 units in use worldwide by police forces
ranging from small City Police Depts to counties, state and
special crime scene forces to national and federal police agencies.
(Note the FBI can not endorse any particular brand)
REFLECTED UV IMAGING SYSTEM (RUVIS)
Typical applications of
our RUVIS Scopes:
UV Reflectance allows the
detection of untreated fingerprints, as well as fingerprints that
have only been processed with cyanoacrylate fuming (superglue
evaporation). The intensification also allows the detection of faint
luminol treated stains.
RUVIS Selection:
The SceneScope RUVIS
instruments include configurations strictly for crime scene and
photography (Gun set-up). The optional SC-FM2 device makes the
SceneScope the highest RUVIS available (3-4 times more resolution
than standard set-up) and allows simultaneous viewing of UV
fingerprint intensified images (converted to green) while
focusing/recording on UV sensitive film. SceneScope can also be
configured with a CCD camera and video goggles (head mounted
display), a digital camera and printer.
Automated Fingerprint &
Palmprint Identification Systems (AFIS & APIS)
Typical applications of
our AFIS and APIS Systems:
-
From small AFIS/APIS
desktop PC systems for City Police Departments who want more control
of their searches and more accuracy,
-
to APIS-Only for those who
already have access to an AFIS,
-
to AFIS Lab configurations
for comparison of latents with a known list of suspects
-
to
Server/Multi-Workstation Systems for large police forces,
-
there is a PrintQuest TM
for your agency. A benchmark comparative test will prove our highest
accuracy. Try it and see for yourself!
PrintQuest AFIS &
APIS Selection
Desktop PC systems, Dual
PC networked System for fast database creation. Raid-5 Server,
Matcher and Workstations. Latent fingerprint imaging stations;
Fluorescence examination station, UV Reflectance examination station.
