The HR460
is a rugged high resolution compact spectrometer featuring the latest
advances in optical design and total computer control.
|
|
The unique layout of the
HR460 eliminates rediffracted light and provides a large area (25 mm
x 15 mm) flat spectral field perfect for multichannel and CCD
detector applications. The HR460 provides high throughput, high
spectral resolution and un-matched separation of multiple fiber optic inputs. |

Total
Computer Control
Every operating function
of the HR460 is automated. This includes the auto-calibrating
spectrometer wavelength drive and slits, the double grating turret,
the swing away mirrors for selecting entrance and exit ports, and
internal shutters.
Optional IEEE-488 bus and
RS-232 serial interfaces permit control under the protocol desired:
both include an intelligent instruction set. An optional hand-held
controller, the HandScan,
is available to control the HR460 functions through a keypad, when
the HR460 is equipped with a RS-232 interface. The HR460 is
compatible with our complete line of detectors,
electronics and software
to achieve control of the spectrometer and data acquisition. |

 |
The HR460 was designed to
be the most versatile half meter monochromator/imaging spectrograph
available. The optional dual entrance and exit ports allow the user
to set up two or more experiments simultaneously and switch between
them with automated ease. |
|
The HR460 can be used as a
flat field spectrograph or as a scanning monochromator. Switching
from one mode to the other is easily performed with the computer
controlled swing away mirror. The front exit port can be equipped
with a motorised slit or a multichannel adapter. The use of
interchangeable double grating turrets allow the the HR460 to operate
from 190 nm to 40 µm.

Specifications
The following
specifications are for 1200 groves/mm gratings. For other grove
densities, multiply by the appropriate scale factor (e.g. dispersion
for a 600 grooves/mm grating becomes 3.52 nm/mm and multichannel
coverage increases to 88 nm).
