The
Spectrum-ONE line of CCD detectors is a family of array detectors
from Jobin Yvon - the world leader in optical spectroscopy. Because
of their unique combination of outstanding sensitivity, high speed,
low noise, ruggedness and durability, all in compact and economical
packages, these array detectors have totally revolutionised
spectroscopic detection with the ultimate performance for a wide
range of spectroscopic applications.
CCD for Spectroscopy
Jobin Yvon
offers a complete line of superior Spectrum-ONE CCD detectors that
are dedicated to scientific and spectroscopic applications. All
detectors in this family use high quality, full-frame,
scientific-grade CCD sensors from various major chip manufacturers.
Jobin Yvon works very closely with these manufacturers to specify and
design these chips in order to make them ideally suited for
spectroscopic and scientific applications.
In these
applications, the most appropriate CCD detection system depends upon
the specific application itself. In general the optimum choice of a
CCD detector will depend upon:
These
parameters in turn will determine the Type of chip (best quantum
efficiency, QE), the Type of detector cooling, the overall
active sensor area and the individual pixel size. In addition to
these operating parameters, other important experimental factors
include the required dynamic range of the measurements and the
desired speed of data acquisition.
Jobin Yvon
currently offers a wide selection of cooling options for our CCD detectors:
-
Liquid
nitrogen cooling
- 4-stage
Thermoelectric cooling
- 2-stage
Thermoelectric cooling
CCD3000 Controller Family
All Jobin
Yvon CCD detectors are controlled by the CCD3000 controller family.
These controllers allow a variable setting and regulation of the CCD
temperature and timing signals to the detector head with trigger
IN/OUT. Equipped with 16 bit, 166 kHz or 14 bit, 3 MHz converter (5
gains selectable by software), they have the capability to read
individual or multiply binned pixels in any direction.
Spectral
Framing or Fast Kinetics mode allows the acquisition of bursts of
spectra at very high spectral rate.
With these
full CCD packages Jobin Yvon offers the best detectors designed for
milliseconds to hours of integration time for spectroscopic measurements.
