NEW
High Resolution Analytical Raman from Jobin Yvon

The
JY Raman Division has recently announced the launch of the newest
addition to its successful Raman Microscope systems.
The
LabRam HR system is an integrated, simple to use, and optically
stable instrument designed to undertake reproducible Raman
measurements at high spatial and spectral resolution.
The
unique combination of the high resolution spectrometer with the true
confocal Raman microscope - not seen before on a benchtop Raman
microscope, means that it is ideal for Raman stress measurements and
for the identification of shifts in Raman spectral features in the
order of 0.3 cm-1
to 1 cm-1 .
In
the past, the more commonplace, lower resolution instruments often
have had difficlulty in analysing the small spectral shifts and band
shapes produced by the effects of stress or subtle bonding
environments and phases on a sample.
The
instrument is therefore ideally placed to take on the detailed
studies in applications including semi-conductors, diamond materials,
composite polymers and subtle bonding and phase characterisation.
Special
detection options also enable the instrument to undertake UV Raman
analysis and micro Photoluminescence.
As
with all of the LabRam systems automated Raman mapping, micro, macro
and solution analysis can be undertaken on a single instrument.
Multiple laser configurations, fibre-optic attachments and dual
diffraction gratings all go to expand the versatility of the system.
