ICP-AES APPLICATION REPORTS   A series of application reports are available from Jobin Yvon Ltd. detailing test data on the following; Dialysis Fluid, Stainless Steel, Chlorine in Oils, Majors in Cement, Oil Analysis, Limits of Detection in 10g/l Rhodium. The reports are applicable to the ULTIMA and ULTIMA C ICP-AES spectrometers from Jobin Yvon Ltd. The ULTIMA is a high-resolution (<5 pm in the UV) benchtop ICP with exceptional sensitivity utilising a large original holographic grating for maximum light throughput. It is equipped with a 40.68 MHz solid state generator with computer control of plasma power, gas flow rates and pump speed set for each method. With special optics the wavelength range can be extended into the deep UV region allowing measurement of Chlorine at 134.724 nm. The ULTIMA can be combined with a polychromator to form the ULTIMA C providing the benefits of speed of the simultaneous system with the flexibility of the scanner. 10 channels comes as standard on the polychromator with the option of more. With Polyscan alternative lines at 2.2 nm of each channel can also be viewed increasing the selection of available wavelengths.
